UGC NET 2018: Application Form Correction Window Opens, Check Details Here

The candidates who have registered for the UGC NET 2018 (National Eligibility Test) can make the necessary changes in their application form via the official website, ntanet.nic.in. A notification issued by the UGC stated that the online window to make necessary changes in the application form has been activated. UGC NET Dec 2018 Correction Window at 10:30 a.m, on October 08, 2018. Previously it has been decided by the NTA that correction window will open at 10:00 a.m.The students need to have their application number and password to make the necessary changes. The notification also stated that the candidates have the time till October 14, 11:50 PM to make all the necessary changes.The candidates who have successfully filled and paid the fee for the UGC NET Dec 2018 Application Form before or till the last date i.e. September 30, 2018 and October 01, 2018 respectively only those candidates are allowed to do the Application form correction.

Notably, the UGC NET 2018 is held for eligibility for Assistant Professor post only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or both. The exam is scheduled to take place from December 9, 2018, to December 23, 2018. It will be conducted in 84 subjects in 91 selected cities. Also, the admit cards will be made available to the candidates from November 19. The results will be declared on January 10, 2019. Earlier, the online application process for UGC National Eligibility Test 2018 was concluded on September 30, 2018

As per the official notification, the candidates need to be very attentive while making the corrections as it is a onetime facility. Also, any change after October 14, will not be permitted under any circumstances. However, if a correction related with photographs and signature will be available till October 30, 2018.

• Click on the link
• Candidates will be directed to a different page
• Here, click on the link that reads, “Click here for application correction”
• Candidates will again be directed to a new window
• Here, enter the details and login to the user portal
• Your application form will be displayed on the screen of your computer
• Click on the section where changes are needed to be made
• Make corrections and save the details finally
• Submit and take a print out of the application form

Uses and Importance of PAN Card

Whether you’re looking at buying a car or property, investing in the stock market or converting your Indian rupees to foreign currency, there is one thing that you will need for each of these activities. What could possibly link these, you might ask. The answer is the PAN card. The Permanent Account Number (PAN) card, issued by the Income tax Department, is one of the most important documents nowadays.

The card was issued in order to prevent tax evasion by individuals and entities as it links all financial transactions made by a particular individual or entity. In this way, the Income Tax Department has a detailed record of all major transactions for tax purposes.

Indian citizens who are residents of the country as well as NRI (Non Resident Indians), OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cardholders, PIO’s (Person of Indian Origin) as well as foreigners who come under the purview of the Income Tax Act of 1961 are eligible to apply for a PAN card. Firms and companies, governments and minors too can apply for a PAN card.

However, the PAN card also has many other uses besides just being a way for the Income Tax department to keep tabs on your financial dealings.

The Uses of PAN Card are given below:

IT Returns Filing: All individuals and entities who are eligible for Income tax are expected to file their IT returns. A PAN card is necessary for filing of IT returns, and is the primary reason individuals as well as other entities apply for one.

Opening a bank account: A PAN card is required in order to open a new bank account, whether it is a savings or a current account. All banks, whether public, private or co-operative, require the submission of a PAN card in order to open an account with them.

Buying or selling a motor vehicle: If you wish to buy or sell a motor vehicle worth more than Rs. 5, 00, 000, you have to provide your PAN Card details when conducting the transaction.

Applying for a credit or debit card: When applying for either a debit card or a credit card at any bank or financial institution, furnishing your PAN card details is mandated by regulations. The bank will not issue the card if this criteria is not met.

Purchase of jewellery: If you are looking at buying any sort of jewellery that is valued at over Rs. 5, 00, 000, you will have to provide your PAN card details at the time of purchase.

Making investments: Investing in securities is seen as a good way to build your wealth. If you are considering investing in securities, you would have to furnish your PAN details for any transactions amounting to above Rs. 50, 000. This extends to equities, mutual funds, bonds as well as debentures.

Proof of Identity: a PAN card is accepted as valid proof of identity anywhere in the country, and is also considered as proof of age. It can also be used as proof of identity when making an application for a passport, voter ID card, driving licence, electricity connection etc.

Foreign Exchange: If you are travelling abroad and wish to convert your Indian currency into foreign currency, you are required to provide details of your PAN at the money exchange bureau/bank/institution where you are converting the money.

Property: Buying, selling or renting property in India now requires PAN card proof. In the case of buying of property, the PAN details of the buyer as well as the seller have to be listed on the sales deed and any other such documentation for the sale to be complete.

Loans: If you require to take out a loan, all loan providers, both banks as well as other lending institutions, require you to submit details of your PAN at the time of loan application. All loans, from education loans to personal loans require PAN details for the loan to be approved.

Fixed Deposits: If you plan on investing your money in a Fixed Deposit (FD) amounting to above Rs. 50, 000 in a bank, you will have to provide your PAN details. This is done as the bank will deduct TDS (Tax Deductible at Source) on the FD interest amount.

Cash Deposits: If you are making a cash deposit that amounts to over Rs. 50, 000 at a time, you will have to submit your PAN details as well. This is in keeping with the RBI mandate, which directs banks to report any large cash deposits to the RBI, as a way to prevent money laundering.

Telephone Connections: If you wish to get a new telephone or mobile phone connection, it is mandatory to submit your PAN details, as private cellular operators will not provide you a connection without it.

Insurance Payments: As per the Income Tax Department directives, PAN card details have to be furnished when making an insurance payment exceeding Rs. 50, 000 a year.

From the above, we see that a PAN card is required for a large number of activities, both financial as well as non-financial.

Deflate your ego tyres

An engineer in a car manufacturing company designs a world class car. The owner is impressed with the outcome and praised him a lot.

While trying to bring out the car from the manufacturing area to the showroom, they realised that the car is few inches taller than the entrance.

The engineer felt bad that he didn't notice this one before creating the car.

The owner was amazed on how to take it outside of the manufacturing area.

The painter said that they can bring out the car and there will be a few scratches on top of the car which could be touched up later on.

The engineer said that they can break the entrance, take the car out, and later re-do it.

The owner was not convinced with any ideas and felt like it is a bad sign to break or scratch

A Watchman was observing all the drama & slowly approached the owner.  He wanted to give an idea if they had no problem.

They wondered what this guy would tell them that the experts could not give.

The watchman said "The car is only a few inches taller than the entrance so, Simply release the air in the tyre, the height of the car will sink and can be easily taken out"...

Everyone clapped!!!

Don't analyse the problems only from an expert point of view alone.

There is always a layman's outlook that gives an alternate solution at a given point of time...

1.Take care of your health. Spend time n money on maintaining yourself.

2.Learn to be independent. Its perfectly ok to not earn, but its important to be independent.

3.Learn to ride that bike or drive that car. You don't always need an escort!

4.Learn about investments and taxes. Its not necessary to have someone else manage your savings n earnings all your life.

5.Plan and save for your own gifts n desires. You don't always need a boyfriend or husband or your dad to buy you something you love. Gift yourself!

6.When you expect equal pay at work, take equal responsibilities. Its not ok to play the "woman" card or "mother" card and shun tough tasks.

7.Take equal responsibility of your parents. Its not acceptable to expect everything from your brother every time.

8.Let the father take care of the unwell child once in a while. Its ok. Your career is equally important and the father is equally responsible.

9.Let other family members take care of your kitchen sometimes. Its ok if the kitchen platform is exceptionally unclean or sink is full of dirty vessels. Relax n take that break!

10.Help the other woman, even if you dont like her ;) You never know what her battles are. Empower the needy ones, like your maids. Teach her basics of hygiene, education and finances.

11.Create a support system. Its ok to get on well with inlaws! Not every family needs to have a saas-bahu drama.

12.Have some friends (men and women) beyond your husband's or boyfriend's group. Its ok ! Spend some time away from family with your friends.

13.Its ok to not cry. Not all women need to be senti all the time ;)

14. Be vigilant, be prepared to handle tough situations. When things go wrong, try to be balanced and find way out of your problems. You don't need to play the victim.

15. Find time to read and keep yourself updated.

16.Raise independent, caring and health conscious kids. Make all family members equally accountable and responsible.

17. Create different girlie groups. Share your problems and seek opinions. Finally take your own decision and be confident about it.

18. Spend some time  doing what you like, even if its just sitting idle. Dont feel guilty about it, just because others feel its worthless.

19. Believe in yourself...... . If you don't, no one else will
